Zhang Shangjin

Professor Zhang Shangjin, was born 1926, in Fuyang, Zhejiang. After he graduated from the Peoples University of China as a postgraduate student of private international law, Professor Zhang taught in Southwest University of Political Science & Law since 1955. In 1979, he began to teach in the Peoples University of China and finally became a professor of the School of Law. After his retirement in 1991, he was invited to teach again by the Peoples University of China. Meanwhile, he was also the advisor of China Society Private International Law, the advisor of Beijing Society of International Law, and a member of the Board of Reviewing Editors of Chinese Yearbook of Private International Law and Comparative Law. Professor Zhang had dedicated his whole life to teaching law, had won the respect of his colleagues and students and made great contribution in the field of private international law. Professor Zhang passed away at the age of 85, in 2011.
